In specialty coffee, beans that score 80 points or above on the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) scale are classified as specialty-grade — the top tier for green coffee. That is the quality level we build on: beans that deliver the depth, balance and clarity you expect from a serious café cup, even from a self-service station.
The SCA scale is a widely used framework for grading green coffee (cupping). Exact scores vary with harvest and blend; “80+ / specialty” refers to this quality class.
